What's happening at the Redlands Pickleball Club

Great first Friday morning session of pickleball at the Wellington Point Tennis Club with approx 30+ members enjoying the sunshine and the great weather we have here in the Redlands...

Redlands Pickleball Club now has an additional venue - Wellington Point Tennis Club

The club held its AGM on the morning of Sunday 30th October prior to regular session play at 0830am.

Sunday 16 October 2022 saw our club run its annual club championships. This intra club tournament is always a fun day, with everyone thoroughly enjoying themselves and playing their “competitive” matches in the spirit of how the game was meant to be played. Competitively, but also with LOTS of laughs and smiles!!

The Australian Pickleball Championships were held at the Queensland State Tennis Centre, Tennyson, Brisbane over 30 September through 3 October 2022. This event was to date, the largest pickleball tournament held in the Southern Hemisphere with 433 players registered to play in around 80 different events!!!

After nearly 5 months of negotiating with the council about having one of the tennis courts at the Wellington Point Tennis Club marked up with 4 pickleball courts

The club has been successful in gaining approval to have 4 permanently marked pickleball courts added to one of the tennis courts at the Wellington Point Tennis Courts.

The club has been successful with a grant application to purchase a training aid for our sport.

All players wanting to play at the Redlands Pickleball Club must now use the Stack Team App to book into sessions.

Once again, all our club members played outstandingly and gave their all and most importantly had an ABSOLUTE ball doing it.

Congratulations to the "Winky Dinkys" who won the RPC Mini Tournament.

A HUGE congratulations to our members who competed in the River City Classic Pickleball Tournament.

The Redlands Pickleball Club is trialing the use of an electronic scheduling application called Stack Team App.

A HUGE congratulations to our members who competed in the Miami Doubles Pickleball Tournament held on the Gold Coast.

The Wellington Point Tennis Club will be our temporary home while construction work is being carried out at the Ormiston State Primary School.
