Pickleball in the Redlands continues to grow with new players joining weekly.

Some good news and bad news!

Firstly, the good news…

After nearly 5 months of negotiating with the council about having one of the tennis courts at the Wellington Point Tennis Club marked up with 4 pickleball courts, we finally got the approval to go ahead.

The line marking dates are set down for 3 November.

We have now added a new session for Friday mornings 8:30am -10:30am to the Team Stack app. Alain LeClair will be our coordinator for this session.

Now the bad news...

Our planned Friday evening sessions at Wellington Point will have to wait until the new year. Council has another tennis booking on that night on that court until the end of 2022.

Our early discussions with the council were to relocate any other tennis bookings that clashed with our proposed sessions to one of the other tennis courts in the Redlands. They have now reneged stating that all bookings must be given equal opportunity to select their preferred session times.

Even though Pickleball only has the one court option and tennis has over 30+ courts to choose from. Sure, that's fair.....NOT!!

Express your disappointment with your local member so Pickleball continues to grow in the Redlands.
